Co-op/Student - Product Design Engineer

We have an upcoming opportunity in the R&D Department as a Product Design Engineer, where we are looking for high-energy collaborators who are passionate about product design.

In This Role You Will

• Be a key person in an engineering environment that will fuel your professional development

• Design new products and build prototypes

• Work with prototypes in the field to gather and implement feedback

• Integrate new products and product refinements into production

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

• Support Manufacturing Engineering in selecting materials and manufacturing processes

• Support Supply Chain and Purchasing in vendor selection

• Project planning and management

We’re Looking For

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Biosystems Engineering (completed or in progress)

• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

• Experience with design tools such as Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D CAD system).

• A hands-on and team-focused work style

• Willing to travel domestically and internationally for short period of time (1-2 weeks) during the year

• Class 5 or equivalent driver’s license
