Job Responsibilities
This position is part of the Corporate Transportation team and is responsible for:
- Pickup and deliver agricultural, turf and construction equipment throughout our 11 stores for customers and inter-store trucking
- Occasional provincial and USA pickup and deliveries
- Responsible for loading, unloading and securing loads
- Oversee handling and load securement, including equipment preparation, application of safety practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations
- Preform trip inspections on equipment, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
- Maintain vehicle service and repair status, perform general maintenance and cleanliness of the delivery truck and trailer
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure it is complete and accurate
- Record and maintain required documentation including driver logbook, bills of lading, etc. by manual or electronic means
- Deliver product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Valid AZ license - certification from a recognized Truck Driving School
- Agricultural knowledge/experience would be an asset
- A minimum of 2 years trucking experience required
- Ability to operate a forklift, training will be provided
- Experience with agricultural machinery is preferred
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and flexibility to work scheduled and extended hours as required is a must
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Cross border ability
- Computer literacy required
