Job Description

ECO Canada is seeking a performance-driven Project Coordinator to join the Professional Services team. In this role, you will support key projects and initiatives that contribute to ECO’s business goals. The successful candidate will assist in project planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement to ensure the effective delivery of programs that support the growth of the environmental workforce.

This is an entry-level/intermediate role that will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement learning solutions, custom projects, and training programs. You will also support the management of government-funded projects and contribute to the success of ECO Canada’s Professional Services offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and management of key programs, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.

  • Support the management of program budgets, timelines, and deliverables, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to secure funding for projects by assisting in the development and review of proposals, reports, and concept papers.

  • Foster partnerships with Indigenous communities, industry, academia, and funders to enhance ECO Canada’s program offerings.

  • Help manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, ensuring strong engagement and ongoing collaboration.

  • Contribute to outreach efforts to increase program participation and awareness.

  • Research and explore new program concepts, business opportunities, and partnerships to support ECO Canada’s strategic goals.

  • Maintain accurate records of key initiatives, measurable outcomes, and associated targets.

  • Assist in developing and updating program templates, procedural documents, and client-facing reports.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support program development from concept through to completion.

  • Research and explore new project concepts, business opportunities, and partnerships to support ECO Canada’s strategic goals.

  • Maintain accurate dashboards of key initiatives, measurable outcomes, and associated targets.

  • Develop and update project templates, procedural documents, and client-facing reports.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support project development from concept through to completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications


  • 1-3 years of experience as a coordinator or in a similar role

  • Proven ability to write and edit technical documents (proposals, reports) and manage program budgets.

  • Strong proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to work independently while ensuring team alignment.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing tasks.

  • Fluency in a second language is not required but considered an asset.

Education and Experience


  • Graduate with a background in Business, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Entry-level to intermediate experience (1-3 years) in project coordination.

  • Knowledge of environmental sector trends and sustainability topics is an asset.

  • Professional designations such as EP or EPt are considered an advantage.

This role is a full-time contract position until October 31, 2025.


ECO Canada offers the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days per week at the Calgary office and the option to work remotely for the remaining 2 days).
