Are you a hands-on, technically inclined individual who enjoys working independently and in the field? RFNOW Inc. is growing and looking for motivated Fibre Installation Technicians to join our dynamic team!
About the Role:
As a Fibre Installation Technician, you’ll play a key role in bringing
high-speed fibre internet to homes and businesses across SE Saskatchewan and SW
Manitoba. From installing and testing fibre optic cables to setting up routers
and switches, you’ll be at the forefront of enhancing connectivity in our
communities. Work is assigned throughout the region, and a company vehicle
is provided. Best of all, you'll have the opportunity to work from your home
community!
What You’ll Do:
- Install, terminate, and test fibre optic cables in residential and commercial settings
- Install CAT6 wiring, media converters, ONTs, switches, and routers
- Troubleshoot and support connectivity issues
- Communicate with clients and internal staff respectfully and professionally
- Follow RFNOW’s safety protocols and operational procedures
What You Bring:
- Experience in fibre installation or networking is an asset
- Familiarity with OTDR and other fibre testing tools is a plus
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel to various sites; occasional overnight stays required
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (MB or SK) and clean driver’s abstract
Physical Requirements:
- Must be mobile and able to bend, crouch, and lift as needed
- Manual dexterity and the ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and troubleshoot technical issues
