 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Create annual Parts Department goals and budget, aligning with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
  • Develop and execute Parts Department marketing plans, monitoring monthly to ensure sustained revenue growth and achievement of departmental goals.
  • Implement practices that provide an above-average level of customer satisfaction for Parts Department customers. Measure customer satisfaction and make changes as necessary to maintain high levels of service.
  • Coordinate customer clinics, demo days, and related promotional events with the sales team.
  • Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities to achieve department growth.
  • Work closely with the Parts Asset Manager to maintain an effective and accurate parts inventory control system that meets the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Participate in evening and weekend customer events (trade shows, customer appreciation events, and assist other branches to ensure similar event success across the company).
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all Parts warranty claims and parts returns within the required time frame to receive maximum credit.
  • Analyze the needs of the department and develop a long-term continuous plan to ensure necessary personnel are available to meet department needs. Recruit, hire, develop, and retain key talent.
  • Develop and implement an effective training program for all department staff members that meet the goals of the organization.
  • Manage and develop the parts team through effective performance management processes conducted annually (include input from the Assistant Parts Manager when applicable).
  • Ensure proper Health and Safety processes are in place to create a safe and efficient work environment. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and housekeeping that exhibits professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Parts Management experience (or Assistant Parts Manager).
  • Journeyman Parts Certificate (or equivalent years of trade experience).
  • Proficiency in standard desktop applications such as Office, Excel, and Windows.
  • Ability to speak effectively one-on-one and in front of a group.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations.
  • Excellent negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
  • Solid coaching and employee development skills.
  • Familiarity with our products is preferred.
