Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm with ½ hour unpaid break
Wage Range: $27.54 up to $31.61 based on
education and related experience

Position
Summary:
The Recovery Engagement Case Manager connects individuals residing
in shelter and supportive housing who are active in addiction with detox and
treatment services. This includes assisting with treatment applications and
referrals, coordinating with providers, and supporting participants through
appointments, transportation, and follow-up. The role requires a strong
knowledge of addiction, community resources, and recovery systems to
effectively reduce barriers and promote recovery, stability, and wellbeing.
Service delivery is client-centered, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental.
Typical Duties Include:
· Assess participant needs and identifying appropriate detox, treatment, and recovery services.
· Assist participants with completing treatment applications and navigating referral processes.
· Coordinate with treatment providers and community partners to ensure timely access to services.
· Support participants with appointments, transportation, and follow-up to promote engagement in recovery.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources, recovery programs, and treatment systems.
· Develop and maintaining positive, trusting relationships with participants, grounded in a client-centered and non-judgmental approach.
· Advocate for participants to reduce barriers and ensure access to necessary services.
· Document participant interactions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Administrative Responsibilities
· Complete accurate and up to date communication/case notes.
· Maintain files and statistics as per accreditation standards on ShareVision.
· When requested, be a member of the Society’s Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) team.
· Ensure compliance with all Society policies and procedures.

Qualifications
and Requirements
· Bachelor of Social Work, Human Services Diploma, Support Worker, or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or lived experience.
· Strong ability to recognize and address challenging behaviors.
· Good communication, documentation, interpersonal and conflict management skills.
· Ability to work within a team-based environment involving multi-agency supports.
· Strong working knowledge of community resources.
· Understands and maintains professional boundaries.
· Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable/appropriate transportation with business use coverage.
· VAT (Vulnerability Assessment Tool) training an asset.
· Must pass an acceptable criminal record check for the vulnerable sector.
· Occupational First Aid Level 1 required.
· Readiness to complete in-house online training within the first month of employment.
· Mental Health First Aid, ASIST, and Trauma Informed Practice an asset.
