Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the operations management team and the executive team to develop competitive and strategic pricing for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) issued by various governmental and organizational entities. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that Emterra Group remains a leader in the recycling and waste management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain effective pricing strategies that support profitability and growth.

Develop and analyze pricing strategies for RFPs issued by municipal, provincial, and federal governments, as well as industrial, institutional, and commercial organizations.

Collaborate with the operations management team to understand service requirements, cost inputs, and cost structures.

Work closely with the executive team to align pricing strategies with company goals and market conditions.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform pricing decisions.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make recommendations for improvements.

Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and industry benchmarks to inform pricing decisions.

Support contract negotiations with data-driven pricing recommendations.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Strong business acumen and understanding of operational cost drivers.

Team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Maintain accurate records of pricing data and proposals.

Ensure quality control and quality assurance in all pricing activities to maintain high standards and accuracy.

Lead special projects and initiatives related to pricing and market analysis.

What will you bring?

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics, or a related field.

Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of pricing strategies and financial modeling.

Strong experience using Great Plains, Business Central; Fixx, Route Optix, Material Manager, RTA considered an asset.

Advanced Excel / Power BI skills (Power Pivots, IF formulas, etc.).

An innate problem-solver processing a high level of analytical skill and logical thinking.

Ability to perform efficiently and effectively without direct supervision and guidance.

A thought leader and change motivator.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work.

Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills that allow you to effectively interact with clients.

Previous experience working in/with a waste management/logistics organization and/or other similar fast-paced environment would be considered an asset.

This is a fully onsite role, located in Surrey, British Columbia.
