Torch Cutter - Truro, NS

John Ross & Sons Ltd. is the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada and we are committed to exceeding our customer's expectations. We are currently seeking an energetic and safety minded Torch Cutter to join our expanding team in Truro! Previous experience (3+ years preferred) in torch cutting or welding is a must. The worksite operates Monday 7am-5pm and Saturday 7:30am-12pm.

Important to note:  *We are currently unable to accept work permits. Applicants must have permanent residency or citizenship*

Primary Responsibilities:

• Run and clean torches
• Change liquids and adjust regulator
• Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
• Perform minor repairs to equipment
• Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to proper manager
• Maintain clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills
• Completion of college or technical training
• Safety Minded
• 3+ years of experience in torch cutting or welding
