Marketing Coordinator
Rubicon Organics’ mission is to grow the best cannabis on earth and for the earth and today we are doing just that out of our state-of-the art greenhouse facility located in Delta, B.C. We are growing and expanding quickly, with national distribution across Canada. We are launching many new products each quarter as we bring exciting new genetics and extracted products to market in Canada.
The Marketing Coordinator will assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales for our cannabis products. This role involves supporting the marketing team with day-to-day tasks, coordinating events, customer service, and analyzing marketing data, within a broad portfolio of brands ranging from premium through to mainstream, encompassing multiple strains and formats. The ideal candidate has a passion for the cannabis industry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Marketing Team Support: In depth understanding of the marketing calendar to be able to provide support all brand leaders across the portfolio. Tasks include shipping and delivery, accounting support, inventory management and influencer marketing support.
- General Admin includes: Creation and management of POs for POS and samples + Budget tracking, sample ordering/requests and SKU set ups, and key account support
- Customer Service: Develop an understanding of products in each brands portfolio and be able to answer customer questions with a high degree of confidence
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute brand events, trade shows, and promotional activities. Handle logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site support.
- Market Research: Conduct research on cannabis market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
- Brand Ambassador: Act as a representative of the brand at events, promoting a positive image and educating the public about products.
- Collaborative Work: Work closely with the sales team, product development, and other departments to align marketing strategies with business goals.
- Product Launches: Coordination of assets for product launches and supporting Assistant Brand Managers in organization of timeline of product launches (Ecoms, Line Forms, Strain card timing)
- Digital Asset Management: Upload , maintenance , DAM optimization , analytics reporting, budtender portal improvement and label uploads
- Website management: COA uploads, Product additions, location tracker, content creation (blogs etc).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the cannabis industry or a regulated industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross functionally across all departments
- Familiarity with cannabis culture, products, and industry regulations is highly preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed for events.
- Valid drivers license with access to a vehicle.
