Office & Shop Cleaner

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Office & Shop Cleaner is responsible for cleaning the office and common areas in the shop to ensure a high standard of cleanliness relating back to our Company’s value of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning common areas in the shop (floors, changing rooms, washrooms, etc.).
• Cleaning office common areas and offices including (vacuuming floors, washing floors, wiping down desks and counter spaces, etc.).
• Cleaning of the shop floor using an electric floor scrubber.
• Cleaning office washrooms.
• Detailed/deep cleaning once per quarter (base boards, windows, fridges, etc.).
• Cleaning of lunchrooms including microwaves, sinks, etc.
• Cleaning of areas separate from the shop including the QC room.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience (3-5 years) cleaning in a commercial or office setting is required.
• Experience cleaning in settings where other employees are working and ensuring minimal disruptions.
• Class 5 drivers’ license and own transportation to get to work.

Skills & Abilities:

·         Attention to detail – ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness by identifying and addressing even minor messes or inconsistencies.

·         Time management – this role works with limited supervision; the successful candidate must be efficient in organizing their tasks and ensuring cleaning duties are completed within the designated timelines.

·         Dependable work ethic and commitment to arriving on time and performing duties to a high standard.

Working Conditions:

• The role will be based full-time at Sicom Industries at 27385 Gloucester Way, Langley, BC.
• Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break.
