Position Status: Part Time (Monday to Friday)
Hourly Rate: $17.00-$24.00
Start Date: ASAP

You’re
good at/you have:

Must be available Monday to Friday
·
Experience working with children
·
Experience in an educational setting or day
camp/childcare/leadership is an asset
·
Meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of
children ages 4 to 10 years.
·
Ensure that children are supervised at all times, and that the
children are involved in safe and appropriate activities in doors and out.
·
High Five (Principles of Child Development) training an
asset (training can be obtained for successful candidates).
·
Ensure open, ongoing communication between parents/guardians of
children and staff members/volunteers.
·
Maintain confidentiality regarding issues with staff/volunteers
and program participants.
·
Demonstrate and promote a personal understanding of, and
appreciation for the mission, vision and values of the YMCA.
·
Current Standard First Aid and CPR Certification (training can be obtained for successful candidates).
·
A current criminal reference and child abuse registry check must
be provided.
·
Level 1,2,3 Early Childhood Education not a must.
Note:
Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory
Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, and
proof of valid First Aid and CPR training. Having these documents ready for the
interview is recommended. Employees
will be required to attend YMCA Child Protection Training.
