The Camp
Founded in 1947 Kandalore offers an un-matched camp experience for children 6 – 16, providing the best of both canoe-tripping and camp activities. The camp prides itself on its warm and supportive community where children are made to feel included in the camp culture. The supportive nature of the camp allows for the campers to try new activities and develop new skills with the help of caring staff members.

Job Outline
The Communications Director will assist the Assistant Director of Camp Life in providing a beyond level of individualized client service and engagement to as many parents as possible providing an insight into camp life. The Communications Director will be responsible for communicating various aspects of camp life to families through email and phone.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of summer camp experience and / or HR experience.
- Exceptional oral and written skills.
Responsibilities Include
- May – Mid June Role and Responsibilities
- Manage presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Youtube, including distribution of content, review and answering of inquiries through social platforms
- Prepare parent communication plan/calendar, email communications and summer documents prior to the start of the summer season
- Perform administrative tasks, including phone calls, emails, and communication records
- Summer Role and Responsibilities
- Perform administrative tasks, including phone calls, emails, and communication records.Maintain regular communication with parents, through email, phone, and regular updates
- Support Directors and Senior Staff with operations of camp
- Delivery of communication plan, including but not limited to new family phone calls, welcome emails, trip emails and end of session surveys
- Connect with campers and staff on a regular basis
- Support Section Heads with camper phone calls and follow ups
- Prepare trip departure and arrival emails, including photos, and communicate with parents in a timely manner
