Join Malatest and Be at the Centre of How We Work
Malatest is a national consulting firm delivering research, evaluation, and advisory services for public-sector clients across Canada. We’re known for thoughtful work, strong values, and a collaborative culture. Our firm is a leader in social policy research across Canada.
We’re looking for an experienced Office Manager who enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and momentum to an evolving organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a trusted, central position—supporting people, improving systems, and keeping operations running smoothly across multiple offices.
Why This Role Is Exciting
As Office Manager, you’ll be a key partner to leadership and staff alike. You’ll have visibility across the organization, influence how things are done, and the opportunity to improve processes that truly matter. If you enjoy variety, ownership, and being the “go-to” person who makes things work, this role offers a rewarding mix of responsibility and impact.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Support leadership, managers, and staff with corporate administrative and operational needs
- Help ensure consistency and quality across offices, systems, and processes
- Coordinate corporate training, documentation, and internal resources
- Support HR, finance, facilities, and project tracking activities
- Contribute to privacy, security, and compliance initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen operations
Rather than being narrowly defined, this role evolves with the organization and rewards initiative, sound judgment, and collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
You’re someone who:
- Has several years of experience in office management or senior administrative roles
- Is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable juggling priorities
- Communicates clearly and professionally with staff and leadership
- Enjoys improving systems, documenting processes, and bringing order to complexity
- Is trustworthy, discreet, and confident handling sensitive information
A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred although equivalent experience will also be considered. French or additional language skills are an asset, but not required.
Working at Malatest
- Collaborative, professional, and respectful workplace
- Meaningful work supporting public-sector clients
- Opportunity to work closely with leadership
- Great Benefits Package and RRSP Program
Additional Requirements
This position requires eligibility to work in Canada and the ability to obtain required security clearances. The Office Manager must adhere to applicable privacy, security, and professional standards.
