Quality Projects Engineer

To meet the growing demand for our product we’re currently seeking a Quality Projects Engineer. In this role you will apply engineering thinking, structured problem‑solving, and strong collaboration to reduce variation, eliminate systemic quality issues, and embed sustainable standard work across manufacturing and support functions. This is a hands‑on, influence‑driven role that works closely with production, engineering, quality, and suppliers to deliver long‑term quality improvements.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
· Lead standard work projects across production, engineering and support department workflows with the goal of improving quality through reduced variation.
· Create and maintain documentation (Standards, SOPs, Checklists) needed to sustainably support standard work related to quality and engineering.
· Work with suppliers’ engineers to find collaborative solutions to systemic problems, while responsibly managing impact to cost and lead time.
· Lead structured, engineering level root cause investigations into systemic quality problems to identify and eliminate defects for both purchased and manufactured goods.
· Maintain a strong understanding of internal customer expectations and requirements as they relate to quality
· Develop effective working relationships with shop floor staff to foster trust, engage them and earn buy-in to QA processes.
· Engage with Production and QA Line Support to identify recurring, systemic issues appropriate for long-term improvement projects.
· Collaborate with QA Line Support, Production, and QA Techs to ensure successful adoption of project driven process improvements.
· Conduct periodic, structured process assessments to gather data for improvement projects.
· Communicate technical findings and project outcomes clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
We’re Looking For:
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical preferred), or related field
· Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
· Able to apply statistical analysis to evaluate and validate proposed solutions
· Strong engineering‑based problem‑solving and analytical skills
· Ability to lead structured improvement projects across multiple departments
· Experience developing and maintaining process documentation and standard work
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority
· Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and engaging directly with shop floor teams
