General Manager, Hope Facility

Overview:
We are expanding our cultivation operations and opening our 2nd grow facility. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic General Manager (GM) to oversee the operations of this new facility and help us continue to set the industry standard for excellence.
The GM for our 2nd facility will be responsible for the daily management and operational success of the facility. This role requires a highly motivated, results-oriented leader with significant experience in cannabis cultivation, facility management, and team leadership. As the GM, you will be a key driver in ensuring the facility meets our production, quality, and compliance goals while also fostering a positive and productive work environment for our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cultivators, technicians, and facility staff to achieve operational goals.
Establish clear communication and coordination across teams, ensuring all roles are well-defined and teams are working efficiently.
Cultivate a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration within the facility.
Facility Operations:
Along with the [head of cultivation], oversee day-to-day operations of the grow facility, including cultivation, irrigation, nutrient management, pest control, and harvesting.
Ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with company standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, lighting, etc.) and ensure facility equipment is properly maintained.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all processes comply with regulations governing cannabis cultivation and production.
Work with the Senior Manager, QA to implement and maintain quality control systems to guarantee the highest product standards are met.
Work with the regulatory team to ensure timely and accurate reporting and documentation.
Strategic Planning & Growth:
Collaborate with the executive team and the VP Operations on strategic planning to scale production and optimize operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in cultivation processes and facility management.
Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support expansion and growth.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets for the grow facility, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost management.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure operational targets are met.
Assist in forecasting and inventory management, ensuring seamless coordination with other teams.
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in cannabis cultivation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a cultivation or production facility.
Experience with indoor cultivation operations is a plus.
Knowledge and experience with cannabis, cultivation techniques, and environmental controls, including an in-depth knowledge of cannabis regulations.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage conflict, prioritize tasks, and stay calm under pressure.
Ability to navigate regulatory processes and ensure facility adherence to legal requirements.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Experience with facility management software and cultivation tracking tools.
Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively across functions and with the senior leadership team.
Bachelor’s degree in horticulture, agricultural science, business, or a related field (preferred).
