Litigation Legal Assistant (Corporate & Construction) - Edmonton
ABOUT OGILVIE LLP
Ogilvie was built in 1920 on a tradition of building relationships and working alongside our clients, and that is still our philosophy a century later. With offices located in Edmonton and Calgary, we are leaders in Corporate & Commercial, Real Estate, Litigation, and Wills & Estates Law.
Ogilvie provides its staff with an opportunity to be challenged and rewarded by working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment alongside some of the top lawyers in Alberta. Putting our clients first is at the center of all we do at Ogilvie, and our specialized legal teams work side by side with our clients to help them achieve and further their business goals.
Creating successful client relationships is central to our work culture, and we are always looking for talented new people to grow our pool of expertise and provide quality service to our clients. If you think you would be a great addition to our team, we would love to hear from you.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently inviting applications from early-career legal assistants who are eager to grow, take ownership, and build their skills across two dynamic and complementary litigation practices in our Edmonton office.
This is a shared role supporting two experienced litigators: one whose practice centers on bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial litigation, and another whose practice focuses on construction and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will be confident, organized, and flexible — someone who is equally comfortable taking direction and showing initiative, and who thrives in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. A willingness to learn and a positive, professional attitude are essential; prior experience in insolvency is not required, as full training will be provided.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity for someone looking to embed themselves within two established practices and, over time, develop genuine expertise across a range of litigation matters. If you are looking for a role where no two days are the same and where you can make a real contribution from an early stage in your career, we would love to hear from you.
Our positions offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
Hours of work are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
