Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our Sarnia team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely storing, gathering, packaging, and preparing of products for shipment. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the sales and operations teams while maintaining warehouse standards and contributing to our goal of exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
- Pick, pack, and label materials according to customer orders and internal procedures
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Ensure accuracy and clarity on packing slips, including heat numbers and backorder details
- Assist with staging of outgoing orders and confirm readiness for pickup or delivery
Inventory & Quality Assurance
- Monitor inventory accuracy and report discrepancies promptly
- Participate in physical inventory counts and warehouse maintenance
- Follow quality assurance procedures and perform equipment upkeep as required
Teamwork & Communication
- Work closely with the warehouse team, sales, and administration to support daily operations
- Attend regular team meetings and maintain a professional, collaborative attitude
- Support training for new personnel and help maintain a safe work environment
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong understanding of warehouse practices including sorting, packaging, and inventory
- Experience with warehouse tools/equipment such as forklifts, saws, and banders (certifications an asset)
- Proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic business math and documentation skills
- High level of accountability and commitment to safety
