Job Description: Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to operate, monitor, and maintain precision machinery to produce high-quality outputs in alignment with specific job requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review samples, technical drawings, or instructions to fully understand the specifications of the output.
• Accurately take measurements and mark materials for cutting or shaping.
• Plan and execute the necessary sequence of actions to complete the job effectively.
• Select and operate appropriate machines (e.g., lathes, saws etc), positioning or loading materials accordingly.
• Monitor machines during operation to adjust feeds, maintain optimal temperatures, and quickly identify any issues.
• Demonstrate the ability to drill and tap holes with precision.
• Regularly inspect output to ensure consistency with specifications, discarding any defective products.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and carry out minor repairs when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a vocational school program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and precision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience in operating or programming manual machinery (e.g., lathes, grinders).
• Proficient in using precision tools such as calipers for accurate measurements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• In-depth knowledge of metal properties and various materials.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Physical stamina and the strength to handle heavy items.
