Assistant Coordinator- Licensed Child Care (Kids in Motion)- Job class 04 - #48-25

The Assistant Coordinator, plays a key leadership role in the Kids in Motion program, with primary responsibility for Zone 2 (Rooms 3–5) and overall support for the licensed childcare program. This position ensures the delivery of safe, engaging, and high-quality early learning experiences for children and their families. The Assistant Coordinator supports staff growth and professional development, maintains program compliance, and contributes to the Club’s operational excellence and strategic initiatives. Acting as the on-site lead in the Coordinator’s absence, this role helps cultivate a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment that aligns with the Club’s mission and values.

• 35 hours work-week 

• Full-Time, Permanent position

Qualification

• Must be a Registered Early Childhood Educator, with at least 3 years of Licensed Child Care experience.

• Experience in a Designate or Supervisory role 

• Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR C Infant/Child or willingness to acquire

• HIGH FIVE Principals of Healthy Child Development would be an asset or willingness to acquire

• Must be able to provide a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening in accordance with the Police Record Checks Reform Act (PRCRA)
