Structural Truss Systems specializes in the design, manufacturing, and transportation of custom roof trusses, floor systems, and wall panels for every size of residential, commercial, and agricultural projects. We operate out of a manufacturing facility in Fort MacLeod, AB, just 25 minutes west of Lethbridge, AB.

We are currently looking to hire the following position in our Structural Truss Systems facility in Fort Macleod, AB.

Role: Yard Forklift Operator

Job Type: Full-time 

Shift: Night Shift (Monday - Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am, Friday 3:30pm-8:30pm)

As a Yard Operator You Will:

·         Operate industrial Forklifts to transport materials to and from storage areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment.

·         Assist Manufacturing teams in packing and banding down product safely and efficiently.

·         Check work orders and verify correct product is being placed in the appropriate loading areas according to Logistics procedures.

·         Operate forklift safely and follow all safety procedures and rules.

·         Complete any other work assigned by supervisor/lead hand.

·         Deliver material to the production facility.

Our Yard Operators Have:

·         At least 1 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing facility (Combi Lift is an asset).

·         Safe work mindset and commitment to safety.

·         Ability to interpret and accurately fill orders.

·         Operate a computer and interact with customers picking up orders.

·         Basic math skills and ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.

·         Team mentality and ability to work well with others.

·         Physical capability to perform their job safely (push, pull lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time).

·         Capability of working in a manufacturing environment.
