Safety Technician (Full-Time - Bonnyville AB)

Kinetic Safety is welcoming resume applications for the position of Safety Technician (Full-Time) for the local Bonnyville AB area.

We are welcoming resumes for dedicated and experienced Safety Technicians who are interested in joining our fast-growing team in Bonnyville AB (must reside in Bonnyville area or be willing to relocate). 

Responsibilities:

Safety Watch & Confined Space Monitoring

• Perform safety watch, confined space monitoring, spark/fire watch, and gas detection to maintain safe work environments.
• Complete atmospheric testing, maintain entry logs, and manage all confined space documentation (permits, hazard assessments, tool logs).
• Ensure full compliance with client procedures, Kinetic’s HSE program, and all regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings, promoting strong safety culture on site.

Breathing Air Trailer Operations

• Set up, operate, and monitor breathing air trailers and associated equipment to provide continuous safe air supply.
• Tow, rig in, and rig out breathing air trailers in accordance with Kinetic Safe Work Procedures.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of breathing air systems and respiratory protective equipment.

Confined Space Rescue

• Provide confined space rescue standby for permit-required and hazardous space operations.
• Develop site-specific rescue plans, conduct risk assessments, and stage rescue equipment.
• Perform rescues when required and maintain rescue equipment and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Must reside in Bonnyville AB or live within daily commuting distance (or be willing to re-locate)
• Must have a minimum of 3 years progressive experience as a safety technician in the oil and gas industry and must have experience in all of the responsibility areas listed above. 
• Minimum required safety tickets include H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Confined Space Entry & Monitor, Confined Space Rescue, Common Safety Orientation (CSO) and Fire Watch
• Must hold a valid Canadian Driver’s License with a clean driving record
