We are presently searching for our next great team member as a Patroller to join our Alpine team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you. 
 

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to) 

* Compliance with all Manning Park Guiding Values, policies, and procedures as outlined in employee handbook and Patrol Manual * Ensure guest and safety through identifying and mitigating hazards, maintaining all ski area ropes and signs, opening and closing runs, assessing, and mitigating avalanche risk, compiling weather data, providing first aid, participating in rope rescues, locating missing persons within bounds, and contributing to public education. * Patient care record keeping and incident investigation documentation * Guest Relations, including managing difficult guests * Exemplify and enforce the Alpine Responsibility Code * Assisting with all events * Communicate clearance to open runs, on-hill hazards, etc. * Keeping the ski area clean of debris and garbage * Maintenance, inspection, and documentation of all Ski Patrol equipment * Sign and uphold Manning Park’s Confidentiality Agreement * Night On-Call resort/staff first aid * Assisting Lift Operation with Daily opening * Other tasks as required

 

Job Requirements / Qualifications: 

* Valid Occupational First Aid Level 3 (Preferred) or higher certification or CSP, 80 hr. Wilderness First Aid, or equivalent. * Safety-oriented working attitude and a professional manner * Excellent communication and guest services skills * Ability to be a supportive team member * Able to follow direction and work unsupervised * Advanced skiing/snowboarding skills; must be able to ski all runs with toboggan * Ability to work in adverse weather conditions * In excellent physical condition * Previous experience in patrol, first aid, snowmobile driving, SAR an asset * Avalanche Skill Training 1 (AST 1) or higher an asset * Fall Protection training, Work on High or Rock Climbing experience are assets.

 

This is a Seasonal Position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Winter Season (November-April). As a seasonal team member you may be presented with opportunities to cross-train and support other departments to meet seasonal demands.
