Outside Sales Representative

Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for pumps, blowers, valves, generators, VFDs and packaged engineered systems for industrial, mining, and municipal applications across Eastern Canada.

Are you looking to join a team of professional, supporting sales representatives?  We are currently looking to hire an Outside Technical Sales position for Newfoundland. This role involves a focus on sales development and relationship building with our many established customers.  With a focus on mechanical equipment, you will review applications and learn to apply the best solution for the application and our clients.   

Interested applicants should be prepared to demonstrate a high degree of experience, knowledge and understanding of:

·       Territory and time management for a large geographical area

·       Managing relationships with key accounts, consulting engineers, and contractors within the territory

·       Application review process to align innovative solutions to customer requirements.

·       Technical understanding in water and wastewater processes and equipment

·       Electrical principles and control applied to mechanical equipment.

·       PLCs and VFDs would be an asset.

·       Diesel engine and power generation experience is also an asset.

·       Promotional campaigns, tradeshow exhibits, and public presentations.

Applicants should be:

·       A well-honed sales professional with a technical degree/diploma and sales background,

·       Technically competent in electro-mechanical principals for rotating equipment,

·       Curious to learn and Initiative-taking toward sales and personal growth.

·       Capable of working independently from a home office and / or in a structured office environment.

·       In tune with our region’s municipal, mining, and industrial sectors.
