Contract Specialists (Remote)
Cameo Consulting Group, LLC is a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA. Cameo is currently seeking multiple Contract Specialist to support cradle-to-grave contracting services for a Federal client. This position will be 100% telework for the duration of the contract.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contract Specialist will be required to support the full range of cradle to grave contracting activities. Support shall cover a wide range of customers on acquisitions to include procurement of complex and diversified items, services, and research and development.
- Provide support to organizations requiring contracting services as directed by the government.
- Perform market research/analysis to determine availability of the requirement, analyzes market trends, commercial practices, conditions and technological advances, and selects appropriate techniques and procedures to solve any acquisition problem.
- Shall analyze difficult contracting issues and determines recommended courses of action, which may depart from previous approaches.
- Provide business advice and assistance to technical personnel involved in the development of the statement of work or data requirements.
- Contract Specialist shall support both classified and unclassified efforts. This position is subject to special programs and read-ons.
- Contract Specialist shall assist with the request for proposal (RFP) preparations.
- Contract Specialist shall assist with reviews of contractor performance and reports of contract discrepancies.
- Contract Specialist shall assist with the administration and completion of contract/task order/purchase order modifications to include closeouts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
- 2+ years of experience as an 1102.
- Adept knowledge of the FAR, DFAR, and SOFA
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Telework only, all work will be completed within the continental United States.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Normal hours of operations for personnel range between 0630 to 1700 hrs. Core hours will coincide with agency management hours of 0830 to 1500 Monday through Friday. Legal holidays observed by the Government include:
- January 1st

- Last Monday of May
- June 19th
- July 4th
- 1st Monday of September
- 2nd Monday of October
- November 11th
- 4th Thursday in November
- December 25th
When one of the above designated legal holidays falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed as a legal holiday. When a legal holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday is observed as a holiday by U.S. Government Agencies.
