Warehouse Operator
A2SKI is seeking a reliable and skilled Warehouse Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving activities for the permanent mine water treatment plant such as transporting materials for storage, and logging and organizing material received. This role requires the ability to work in cold, harsh, and remote conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Receive shipments and inspect for accuracy and damage.
· Process shipments by sorting, labeling, and organizing items.
· Unload and load trucks (flatbeds, sea containers, etc.).
· Verify shipment documentation against physical materials.
· Stage and organize freight for delivery to end users.
· Apply labels and identification to incoming materials.
· Assist with inventory counts and stock movements.
· Support proper storage in racking, sea cans, and laydown areas.
Equipment Operation
· Operate forklifts, front-end loaders, and telehandlers safely (certification required).
· Use counterbalance forklifts for unloading, movement, and storage of palletized and bulk materials.
· Use front-end loaders for snow clearing around warehouse areas and handling heavy/bulk items as directed.
· Conduct daily equipment pre-use inspections and report deficiencies.
Warehouse Support Tasks
· Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with site safety protocols.
· Support team in ensuring clear access and egress routes for emergency and operational use.
· Assist with repacking, securing, or staging of materials as required.
· Monitor and track regular maintenance of company vehicles, including cleaning inside and out.
· Liaise with team members, supervisors, management, and third parties locally and at various sites.
· Ensure proper disposal of waste products.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in a labor-intensive or industrial/mining warehouse role is an asset.
· Forklift, Loader, and Telehandler certification required.
· SCOT and WHMIS Certification.
· Valid driver’s license and clean driver abstract.
· Physically fit to work in cold, remote conditions and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs safely.
· Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
· Good communication and organizational skills.
· Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a construction/warehouse setting is an asset.
· Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
