We are seeking an Applied HVAC/R Sales Engineer with a strong HVAC background to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives on solving technical challenges, building customer relationships, and contributing to the success of both Kerr and our clients. Key Responsibilities:

Customer Support

  • Provide high-level technical assistance, including system design and product recommendations.
  • Deliver empathetic, solution-focused service to contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare accurate project quotations and manage follow-ups.

Engineering Community Support

  • Collaborate with engineers to specify Kerr products in HVAC/hydronic project designs.
  • Offer expertise on system commissioning and product applications.

Internal Support & Growth

  • Assist Kerr branches with technical inquiries, sourcing products, and customer meetings.
  • Conduct staff training on HVACR products, systems, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the sales and technical teams.

 

This role may require occasional travel to support other Kerr branches. Let us know if you’re open to relocation or regional collaboration!

Qualifications:

  • Education: P.Eng designation (or working toward it)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in HVAC, with intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of HVAC and hydronic products
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong B2B customer service and sales acumen
    • Ability to create project quotations, provide lead time updates, and design-build solutions
    • Willingness to participate in ongoing technical and professional training
    • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
    • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with a team-first mindset
    • Flexibility to support colleagues across Kerr branches
