POSITION SUMMARY
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to directly shape the organization’s financial strategy and influence high-level decision-making. In this role, you’ll lead the financial planning and analysis function—digging into data, forecasting future trends, and turning complex information into insights that leadership relies on for budgeting, project evaluation, and strategic planning.
You’ll build strong working relationships across operations, finance, and senior leadership, becoming the go-to expert for timely, accurate financial information. Your ability to spot trends, identify variances, and highlight opportunities for improvement will help strengthen overall financial performance and support the company’s long-term success.
This is an ideal role for someone who is analytical, organized, and proactive, someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and providing clear, actionable recommendations. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you won’t just report on the numbers—you’ll influence decisions that shape multi-million-dollar projects, guide corporate strategy, and drive meaningful business results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct detailed financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including income statement, balance sheet & cashflow for management and board.
· Lead the development of annual budgets and variance analysis to support achieving the long-term financial plans.
· Work collaboratively with managers to review monthly budget-to-actual results and provide insights or corrective actions.
· Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, cash flow, and profitability.
· Evaluate investment opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
· Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks, highlighting variances and trends.
· Recommend and implement financial policies.
· Collaborate with CFO and ELT to align financial goals with business objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; CPA designation (or CPA in progress) preferred.
· FNFM Administration designation considered an asset.
· Minimum 4 years of experience in a Senior Accountant or similar financial role.
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling.
· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, modeling) and experience with computerized accounting systems; familiarity with Eclipse, Power BI, or similar financial software preferred.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
· Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
