Job Duties:

• Work as part of a team to plan, carry out, and evaluate developmentally appropriate activities for children.

• Supervise and ensure children’s safety while engaging in indoor/outdoor, active/quiet, and individual/group activities.

• Communicate regularly with families about children’s growth, progress, and program participation.

• Develop individualized/group curriculum based on children’s abilities, interests, and needs; coordinate with specialists as needed.

• Attend to children’s physical needs (diapering, toileting, eating, sleep) and implement care plans collaboratively.

• Maintain accurate documentation and reports, including progress, behaviours, and required licensing logs.

Qualifications:

• Approved ECE or ECE-IT Certification through the Early Childhood Registry of B.C
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate approved by Community Care Facilities Licensing
• Previous work experience in a similar environment is preferred experience in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programs, and activities
  
• Experience working in a Community Care Licensed facility
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
