FORKLIFT OPERATOR / PICKER / SHOP LABOURER

Summary

We are looking for someone who can do a bit of everything in this role – it is fast paced, requires attention to detail and someone who is safety conscious.

Responsibilities include the following:

§  Driving forklift

§  Handling lumber materials

§  Prepping materials for shop orders

§  Working with the team to get materials lined up for prefabrication

§  Maintaining a clean worksite

§  Picking out lumber based on order specifications

§  Assisting in the shop with orders as needed

Education, Experience and Knowledge

Above all else we are in search of a candidate that values culture and passion – being an important member of a strong team of people who take pride in their work and support each other.

The following qualifications are required:

§  Must have valid forklift certification with 1+ years of operating experience

§  Experience working as an Order Picker.

§  Physically capable of heavy labour work within a fabrication shop setting

§  High attention to detail

§  Knowledge about lumber would be very advantageous

§  Experience in framing would be an asset.
