Job Responsibilities
As the Territory Agriculture & CCE Sales Representative, you will represent Huron Tractor by promoting sales of Agriculture & Compact Construction Equipment to new and existing customers, identifying potential customers in a defined sales territory.
This position reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible to:
- Represent the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales territory
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
- Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicate to management
- Maintain all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
- Understand and follow a defined sales process
- Maintain assigned company vehicle and equipment
- Assist with the preparation and execution of customer events
- Conduct new equipment field demonstration
- Monitor trends in customers' business activities and communicate to management
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used equipment
- Attend applicable sales training events and seminars
- Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and properly evaluate for trading purposes
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in equipment sales is preferred
- Marketing, Business or Agriculture Diploma or equivalent relevant work experience
- Understanding of the agricultural industry and knowledge of farming, construction or operational practices would be an asset
- Knowledge in precision agriculture, usage, setup, and optimization would be an asset
- Ability to build excellent customer relationships
- High energy and a positive attitude are a must
- Take initiative in completing work, self-motivated, and organized
- Adopt a selling approach based on asking task-oriented questions, validating customer requirements, proposing solutions, offering demonstrations and moving to close
- Able to work flexible and extended hours
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Proficient computer and software skills
