The Customer Service Representative role primarily provides daily administrative, technology and audio/visual customer service support. As a key contact person between the operation’s control and its various stakeholders this individual needs to be a positive reflection of the organization and its values. 

What will you do? 

  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.  
  • Provide excellent customer service to all divisions and manage calls to and from service providers. 
  • Creates, distributes, and closes-out customer tickets daily.  
  • Maintains and distributes department related information daily.  
  • Communicates with other supervisors and managers about operations and/or dispatch issues.  
  • Completes and maintains a variety of reports as directed by the department manager.  
  • Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.  
  • Assists with data collection and reporting. 
  • Assists with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary.  
  • Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.  
  • Communicates with customers about service issues as needed.  
  • Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed.
  • May enter and maintain Service Machine SMART data daily for all trucks.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.  

What will you bring?

  • Completion of Secondary School (or GED equivalent) 
  • Experience with Dispatching or CRM system is an asset
  • Experience in the waste management and recycling industry an asset 
  • Strong computer skills (particularly in the use of MS Office)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks 
  • Working well under pressure and within strict timelines in a fast-paced environment
