Motion Capture TD - short term project

We are seeking a Motion Capture TD for a short-term contract to support our Previsualization team on an upcoming project. This a hands-on role, ideal for someone who has technical proficiency with motion capture workflows and is eager to learn and grow in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment. This is a short-term, onsite contract based in Vancouver.

Primary responsibilities

• Assist with setup and calibration of motion capture hardware and software
  
  
• Record MoCap data using Motive
  
  
• Set up live retargeting pipelines in MotionBuilder
  
  
• Monitor tracking data quality and troubleshoot basic issues during live sessions
  
  
• Work closely with MoCap performers, camera crew, and real-time team to ensure smooth data capture and delivery
  
  
• Assist with cleanup and organization of motion capture data
  
  

Ideal qualifications

• Familiarity with Motive and MotionBuilder

• Understanding of motion capture pipelines and basic retargeting concepts
  
  
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  
• Comfortable working in a technical, real-time production environment
  
  
• Ability to take direction and work well in a team
  
  
• Bonus: Experience with Unreal Engine or real-time visualization workflows
