Avena is seeking a Senior Associate, Sales and Marketing to join our team on a full-time, 18-month term position with potential for permanent employment. This position is based in Regina, SK and will involve some travel. Reporting to the VP, Sales and Marketing, the Senior Associate, Sales and Marketing is a responsible and active member of the dynamic sales and marketing team at Avena. As such, they will contribute to B2B sales, marketing, and communication activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns and strategy to generate B2B leads, grow in-house subscribers/mailing list, cultivate audience engagement and drive brand awareness through appropriate social platforms
  • Work closely with Avena’s digital marketing strategy team to maintain and manage corporate website and SEO
  • Review analytics, monitor and identify competitors, industry trends, identify market gaps and develop plans to improve marketing strategies and sales activities
  • Create marketing and communications collateral including sales materials, presentations, digital and social media content (graphics and videos), newsletters and website blogs to support the sales team and B2B partners
  • Coordinate corporate events and educational meetings (in-person and virtual)
  • Support Avena marketing team to coordinate and organize tradeshows
  • Qualify incoming website and telephone leads, forwarding to appropriate director of sales and business development team member, under the supervision of the VP, Sales and Marketing
  • Support and develop inside sales, build and maintain customer relationships, maintain data records in ERP (Netsuite)


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, certificate or diploma in related field, or relevant experience
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Food Science and experience in B2B marketing is preferred
  • Proficiency with video and photo editing tools preferred
  • Proficiency in marketing tools, ERP/CRM systems and digital marketing platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers, partners and members of the team
  • Strong computer and technology skills as this position requires use of Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerBI, Teams, etc.), Netsuite (ERP), Google Ads and Keywords, Mailchimp (e-newsletter), Social Media Platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook), Zoom and Canva.
