Project Coordinator
Location: Preferred Squamish Head Office, minimum 3 days a week in Head Office

Position Overview:
Your responsibilities will include managing material procurement, document control, project administration, subcontractor coordination, estimating, transportation and logistics, cost reporting, and providing overall project support.
This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career with a growing company. In this role, you will be tasked with coordinating multiple modular construction projects at once, and you should be comfortable attending site visits, including those to remote locations across Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase materials and schedule deliveries to ensure timely project progression.
- Track and manage change orders, including costs and schedule impacts, for review by the Project Manager. Ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed as required.
- Oversee subcontractor deliverables, ensuring compliance with contracts, shop drawings, applicable laws, and required documentation (e.g., insurance certificates, WorkSafeBC, Statutory Declarations).
- Perform routine site visits, attend site meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
- Work with Accounting to process Construction Draws and ensure accurate reporting of invoices and work in progress.
- Assist in estimation, scope development, budgeting, and participate in tender proposals.
- Identify potential project risks (e.g., schedule delays, budget concerns) and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Monitor and ensure safety standards and regulations are followed on the job site, including conducting safety audits and promoting a safe work environment.
- Track subcontractor and vendor performance, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.
- Manage project closeout activities, including final inspections, documentation, and the completion of all required contracts and payments.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years working as a Construction Project Coordinator, Estimator, Engineer or in a related field.
- Education: Post-secondary education - Diploma, or BSc Degree in Engineering, Construction Coordination or related field considered an asset.
- Certifications: PMP Certification an asset.
- Legal Requirement: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) applications.
- Proficiency with Buildertrend software would be considered a plus.
- Ability to review and understand project drawings and specifications to submit and/or approve shop drawings.
- Strong interest in maintaining a high level of project health, safety and environment (HSE).
- Good working knowledge of current construction methods, materials, procedures, drawings, specifications and building code.
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions, including CCDC Contracts.
- Previous experience in modular construction preferred.
- Ability to handle pressure, prioritize workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and be flexible and adaptable.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid remote role with minimum 3 days per week required at the Squamish head office.
- Flexible working hours with the expectation of weekly travel to project sites as needed.
