Mechanic
Qualifications:
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract preferred).
3-5 years of proven mechanical experience, preferably within a fabrication, manufacturing, or oil and gas environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and routine maintenance procedures.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
Trade certification is considered an asset but not required.
Position Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on company equipment and vehicles to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and reliability. This role supports manufacturing and field operations by ensuring all mechanical systems and components meet company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to identify root causes.
Conduct installations of new or additional mechanical equipment as required.
Ensure accurate completion of work orders and service records in accordance with company standards.
Maintain detailed maintenance documentation and update logs for all repairs and services performed.
Assist with the ordering of replacement parts, supplies, and equipment to support repair and maintenance needs.
Test repaired equipment to confirm operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Collaborate with team members and management to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Other other tasks and duties as assigned.
