Homeward Bound Windsor Manager
Location: 1169 Branion Drive, Prince Albert, SK
Reports to: Homeward Bound General Manager
Responsibilities: As part of the YWCA Prince Albert Management team, the Manager is responsible for the day – to – day operation of the Homeward Bound Windsor Program.
Qualifications:
- Post – secondary education and/or previous experience working with vulnerable people;
- Previous management or Supervisory experience;
- Understanding of budgets and reporting;
- Exceptional communication abilities: written, verbal, interpersonal;
- Policy development;
- Knowledge of referral agencies;
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License with clean abstract;
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Caring and compassionate attitude;
- Available for an on-call rotation;
- Ability to work some flexible hours (occasional evening and weekends);
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Excellent Time Management Skills;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Standard computer skills necessary;
- Strong knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, person centered planning and strength-based approaches;
- Upholds and models professional, respectful, and ethical behavior at all times.
Renumeration: $78,000 to $80,000 Annual Salary

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Personnel Management
- Oversee the day – to – day operation of the program;
- Staff hiring, supervision, training, coaching and leadership;
- Employee progressive discipline and termination (all terminations require CEO and HR approval);
- Working with the supervisor in developing the staff schedule, ensuring proper 24/7 coverage.
- Ensure YWCA Personnel policies are adhered to.
- Administrative duties as requested by Homeward Bound General Manager.
- Uphold and comply with all YWCA Prince Albert employment policies and Saskatchewan Employment Act;
2. Program Management
- Working with the General Manager, ensure policies are developed and updated as required. (all policies require CEO approval);
- Have a good understanding of the MNS, RBDC and SHA contracts;
- Ensure apartments are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly manner, adhering to all fire and safety regulations;
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles;
- Manage the budget as provided by the General Manager;
- Ensure spending policies are adhered to and within budgets; purchasing of supplies appropriately delegated;
- Statistical data and reporting;
- Ensure Payworks for the program area is up to date;
- Ensure policies are adhered to as per the various contracts;
3. Client Centered Services
- Work with various funders to ensure polices and standards are in accordance with person centered planning;
- Ensure proper documentation on all client files, case plans, safety plans and incident reports;
- Assist staff with program planning and development;
- Ensure staff trained in all areas needed to work with vulnerable clients with a history of homelessness and addictions;
- Liaise with MNS, RBDC and SHA;
- Maintains regular communication and open dialog with the General Manager;
- Ensure staff members maintain proper documentation on client files, case plans, safety plans and incident reports;
4. Other
- Attend all YWCA Management meetings and training;
- Learn HIFIS;
- Contract management and reporting;
- Financial Management – following budgets as provided by General Manager;
- Risk Management;
- Be a good role model for the clients, leading a positive lifestyle;
- Other duties as requested;
Probation: This position contains a six-month probationary period.
