Co-op/Student - R&D Technician

We have an upcoming opportunity in the Research and Development Department as an R&D Technician.

Your core mission in this role is to assist the R&D team with product development projects and assignments. You’ll collaborate effectively with other team members – both R&D and Cross-Functional - to solve critical problems throughout the product development process.

In This Role You Will

• Assist with design, fabrication and assembly of concepts and prototypes

• Test prototypes to verify product reliability and make adjustments as required

• Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures for testing and replicating various field conditions

• Participate in product development projects, which include researching and developing ideas for new and current existing products 

We’re Looking For 

• Experience in fabricating, welding and repair of machinery

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and sketches  

• Passion and ability for problem solving and decision making

• Must be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision

• Bachelor or Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Tech. (completed or in progress)
