Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for directing and managing the manufacturing operations to achieve continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This includes leading lean initiatives, managing resources, and driving performance across all manufacturing functions in alignment with company goals.

Key Job Competencies

• Manufacturing Knowledge: Mechanical System Knowledge, Machine Control System Knowledge, CNC Programming and Drawing comprehension in relation to Milling, Turning, Mazak operating and CNC Machining

• Adaptability: Responds quickly to production changes and delivery pressures.

• Communication: Ensures effective handover and coordination between teams and shifts.

• Data Analysis: Reviews ERP and KPI data to improve productivity and reduce waste.

• Safety & Quality Mindset: Promotes a culture of safety and adherence to specifications.

• Standards Compliance: Familiar with API Q1, 7-1, 7-2, DS1 and internal QMS procedures.

Principal Accountabilities

• Monitor and achieve departmental KPI’s related to safety, quality, on-time delivery, and productivity.

• Lead, engage and develop team members through coaching, performance reviews, and training programs.

• Analyze ERP and production data to create reports on performance, forecasts, and improvement opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, QMS standards and safety procedures.

• Maintain up to date procedures, work instructions, and training documentation.

• Manage department budgets, consumables, and resource planning to support operations.

• Oversee equipment condition, maintenance needs, and ensure a clean, organized workspace.

• Foster a positive work environment by applying company policies, celebrating achievements, and maintaining confidentiality.

• Assign tasks, manage workflows, and forecast staffing needs to meet production targets efficiently.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

• Five years in a supervisor or leadership role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Ten years of Manufacturing experience.

• Practical understanding of industrial/manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and practises.

• Basic understanding of directional drilling tools and the materials used in directional drilling.

• Familiar with specifications API, 7-1, 7-2 and DS1.

• Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
