As our business grows, Cabco seeks a People and Culture Coordinator to join the Dartmouth office. Cabco Communications Group is the longest-running, independent communications infrastructure integrator serving Atlantic Canada, founded in 1980. As our People and Culture Coordinator, you will contribute to our people and culture initiatives, creating a great employee experience and brand. Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the talent recruitment process including drafting job descriptions, posting it on multiple websites, doing proactive searching/ outreach, screening candidates, phone screening candidates, interviewing, preparing job offers
  •  Preparing onboarding schedule and welcome package/uniforms and handling HR components (policy review, benefits, culture etc), booking meetings with key stakeholders
  • Maintaining employee files and database
  •  Supporting Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
  • Participating in continuous learning opportunities and staying current with Human Rights and Employment Legislation, ensuring compliance
  • Providing payroll and benefits support - entering/maintaining new hire/banking info and ensuring enrolled in benefits and RRSP plan 
  •  Building relationships with NSCC/NBCC and other schools, ISANS
  • Attending JOHSC meetings, ensuring documents are up-to date and meeting minutes are posted in Teams
  • WCB case management

 Your background:

·         Post-secondary education in Business with an HR major, or post-grad HR certificate

·         0-5 years’ experience in Human Resources

·         Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

·         You are technologically savvy with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

·         Knowledge of Payworks/Get Hired, Bluecross would be an asset 

·         High degree of integrity and confidentiality

·         Detail-oriented
