Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Production Worker to join our team at our Oak Bluff location.
What You Will Do:
- Set up and operate various machinery such as grinder, washer, riveter, paint machine, bag sealer and packaging
- Perform a variety of tasks involving sorting shoe cores, painting, washing, delining, riveting and grinding.
- Daily inspection of equipment and proactively reporting subpar equipment conditions and any mechanical/production concerns to ensure safety standards are met
- Safely maintain required productivity levels and proper machinery usage.
- Maintain required quality of work throughout and follow the process to the result of packaging for retail sale.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Require:
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts more than 30 lbs.
- Experience operating automated machinery within a production environment an asset.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
