Journeyman Electrician

Position Overview  

1Click Heating and Cooling Inc is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to perform electrical work, ensure code compliance, and support the operations of our team in Vancouver, British Columbia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the installation, maintenance and repair of heat-pump based electrical systems in accordance with federal and provincial electrical code.

Key Responsibilities  

• Assist in installation of electrical heat pumps and HVAC equipment by ensuring all electrical work complies with federal and provincial electrical code.

• Provide technical guidance, supervision, and mentoring to electricians and apprentices  

• Perform electrical inspections and preventative maintenance 

• Review and approve electrical permits, inspections, and documentation  

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and support complex project work  

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to support job planning and execution 

• Maintain accurate job records, reports, and compliance documentation  

• Participate in estimating, quoting, and planning electrical projects   

Required Qualifications  

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification 

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed electrician preferred  

• Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC)

• Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship abilities  

• Valid BC Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record
