QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-Secondary Education in a field relating to the energy and natural resources industry with appropriate Certifications or Licenses (P.Ag./R.T.(Ag.), P.Geo., P.Biol., RPFT or equivalent).
- 10+ years of experience in a management role in the environmental and natural resources field.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies.
- Strong formal and informal leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and motivating employees.
- Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems.
- Ability to remain calm and poised in urgent situations.
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals.
- Demonstrated program and project management skills.
- Coaching - Engages in regular, structured discussions with project managers to improve individual employee performance and attain organizational objectives.
- Innovative - Able to think outside of the box to develop creative and new solutions or products that meet current and future needs.
- Business Development – Able to assist in identifying opportunities and assist in developing plans and strategy to achieve the opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide senior technical support on NorthWind’s assessment and remediation projects by working with and supporting project managers.
- Provide senior review and technical input on a wide range of ESA (Phase 1, 2 and 3) projects.
- Assist in acquiring new ideal clients for our highest priority services.
- Work to develop an Assessment team, including processes that develop and support the growth of team members. This will include driving growth and successional planning.
- Oversee team members to ensure work is being performed according to established standards.
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development, to drive a positive work culture.
- Oversee program and project management to ensure effective milestone planning and timely completion of deliverables.
- Coordinate activities with project managers by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly.
- Analyze departmental operations and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Implement developed operational changes necessary to ensure that production quotas and procedures are met.
- Oversee environmental site assessments and the development of standards, procedures, and health and safety measures.
- Oversee the analysis of program performance and factors that may be affecting efficiency and make updates or changes to processes.
