We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing & Support Specialist for a full-time position at our Hamilton office.   Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this hybrid position will play a vital role in supporting the design, marketing, and communications efforts of Ackroo while also supporting Ackroo’s merchant base . This is a junior role, ideal for a creative, energetic, and driven individual eager to assist with various tasks under guidance.  You will join a dynamic, fast-paced & highly skilled team with lots of opportunity for growth.

What you'll do:

50% of the time:

  • Design & Creation: Develop and design print and digital marketing materials, including landing pages, emails, sales & support collateral, presentations and social media assets. 
  • Brand & Content Strategy: Support and evolve Ackroo's brand identity, content strategy, and creative production process.  Rebrand or redesign existing materials as needed. 
  • Website Maintenance: Prepare graphics, create new pages, update content, and troubleshoot user experience and design issues on Ackroo's website.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with brand guidelines and business objectives. 
  • Design client gift cards, loyalty assets, keytags and other designs in collaboration with the support and client success teams. 
  • Project Coordination: Manage projects, including coordinating deliverables, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high quality standards
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various marketing and sales related tasks and projects, streamlining processing in order to drive efficiency and collaboration.

50% of the time:

  • Carry out 1st-line technical support by phone and email, based on product knowledge and provide refresher training on software utilization as needed
  • Onboard, train, and install Ackroo Online, Point-of-Sale, and Payment products for new and existing merchants
  • Answer in-bound calls while providing a premium customer experience
  • Process customer collateral orders
  • Take ownership of customer issues, troubleshoot, and see problems through to resolution
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and provide them with pre-sales support
  • Identify and document product defects and feature requests
  • Upsell and cross sell other product offerings to merchants including AckrooPAY offerings.

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English (French an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality, cohesive collateral independently
  • Strong problem-solving and customer engagement skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Demonstrated marketing skills through relevant work experience and/or post secondary education
  • Familiarity with online tools such as WordPress, HubSpot, MailChimp, Asana and Canva
  • A natural problem solver 
  • Some experience in sales and building customer relations
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Some experience in a technical support role, an asset, but not required
  • Bilingual English/French, an asset, but not required

What we offer:

  • Salary: $50,000-65,000 (based on experience)
  • Quarterly Company based bonuses (up to $5,000 per annum)
  • 3 weeks vacation + 3 sick days + certain company days off
  • Hybrid work arrangement of 4 days in office 1 day at home office
