The Role

As a Production Tech, you will bring creativity to life by crafting stunning sets and ensuring smooth production processes for our world-renowned Haunts. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to turn vision into reality, this is the role for you!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Build and assemble stage sets according to design specifications. 
  • Design and set up lighting systems for performances; troubleshoot and repair lighting equipment as needed.
  • Install and operate sound systems, including microphones, speakers, and audio mixers. 
  • Ensure clear communication systems (intercoms, headsets) for crew members. 
  • Collaborate with directors and designers to refine technical elements. 
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and stage areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance on technical equipment. 
  • Ensure proper packing and storage of all technical gear; repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning items.
  • Operate various technical elements and provide backstage support during live performances.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure smooth running of performances.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and sets before and after performances.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in performance technology an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
  • An understanding of technology, with a interest in sound, lighting, and live performance.
  • A commitment to safety, with a deep understanding of regulations and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
