Build Relationships. Open Doors. Help Youth Find Their Next Step.

Do you believe that strong relationships and safe spaces can change the trajectory of a young person’s life? Are you passionate about helping youth navigate systems and connect with opportunities that support their growth and stability?

Street Culture Project (SCP) is hiring a Case Plan Coordinator for the Treehouse Program, a low-barrier youth drop-in space designed to provide connection, support, and opportunities for youth ages 15–24.

This role focuses on building relationships with youth, helping them identify goals, and supporting them as they navigate community resources and opportunities.

What You’ll Do

  • Take the lead on youth engagement within Treehouse, building consistent, supportive relationships with youth and helping maintain a welcoming and low-barrier environment.
  • Support the Treehouse Program Manager in maintaining program flow and daily operations while modelling strong youth engagement practices during shifts.
  • Facilitate informal intake and orientation for youth accessing Treehouse through walk-ins, self-referrals, and community outreach.
  • Work collaboratively with youth to identify needs, set goals, and explore next steps, supporting the development of simple action plans where appropriate.
  • Help youth navigate community systems and connect to resources related to housing, health care, mental health, income support, education, employment, and legal services.
  • Respond to youth crises or difficult situations using calm, trauma-informed, and relationship-based approaches, supporting safety planning when needed.
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with agency, ethical, and legal standards.
  • Identify patterns in youth engagement, emerging needs, and barriers to participation, and contribute ideas to strengthen Treehouse programming and responsiveness.

What You Bring

You are someone who builds trust easily, listens deeply, and understands the complexity of youth experiences. You balance compassion with structure and remain calm when situations become challenging.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 1+ year experience in youth care or a related field (required)
  • Experience working with youth experiencing housing instability, trauma, system involvement, or social barriers
  • Experience supporting individuals with goal setting, service navigation, or community resource connection
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and harm reduction
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure

Additional Requirements

  • Secondary school completion (post-secondary preferred)
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance
  • Valid SK Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of SCP's values and approaches (training provided)
  • Strong time management and documentation skills
  • Training in CPR/First Aid, ASIST, Crisis Intervention, or Mental Health First Aid is an asset

Why Work With Us?

At Street Culture Project, we’re not just a team—we’re a movement. At SCP, we meet youth where they’re at and work alongside them to build trust, stability, and connection. We value compassion, cultural humility, and courageous care. Indigenous applicants and individuals with lived experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
