Meadow Park London is a fully accredited long term care home in London. Ontario and serves 126 residents. It is a growing urban center in Southwestern Ontario, and is known for its numerous parks, cultural attractions, and strong economy in sectors like agri-food, advanced manufacturing, and health sciences. Situated on the Thames River, London is located approximately 200 km west of Toronto and 200 km east of Windsor, it serves as a regional hub for medical, educational, and business services.
Join our team as a Culinary Manager!
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Culinary Manager is responsible and accountable for managing all aspects of the food service within the Home and meeting the nutritional needs of the residents.
Key duties include staff oversight (selection, evaluation, termination), budget management, hands-on cooking, and ensuring food quality and safety standards. Additional responsibilities include menu planning, recipe development, managing food production and timely meal service, interpreting and implementing resident diets based on a Registered Dietitian's instructions, and conducting full nutritional assessments upon admission and re-evaluating them as needed.
We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:
Successful completion of a recognized course in Food Service Management and/or Nutrition Management or previous experience working as a Nutrition Manager in Long Term Care.
Be a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management or a registered dietician as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss. 70 and Ontario Regulation 81/22 (1).
Successful completion of the food handlers training program, provided by public health, under the Health Protection and Promotion Act
Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
Must be computer literate
Minimum of 2 years food service management experience in Long Term Care (Gerontology)
