North & Company LLP is looking for a Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Blairmore branch. This is a full-time position 35 hours per week.
This role requires a high degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and client service. The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of Administrative experience in a professional office setting and the ability to provide support to our attorneys and contribute to the efficient operation of our firm. Legal Administrative Assistant (Entry Level)
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Legal Administrative Assistant provides basic administrative support to the legal team, performing routine clerical tasks to ensure smooth operation within the legal department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- RECEPTION: Covering the Reception desk when necessary, handling the switchboard, incoming mail, while maintaining exceptional client service.
- DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT: Assist with filing, organizing, and maintaining legal documents and case files.
- DATA ENTRY: Input and update information in legal databases and case management systems.
- CORRESPONDENCE: Prepare, proofread, and send routine correspondence, emails, and legal documents.
- SCHEDULING: Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and conference calls for the legal team.
- CLIENT INTERACTION: Handle basic client inquiries and direct them to the appropriate legal staff.
- OFFICE SUPPORT: Perform general office duties such as copying, scanning, faxing, maintaining board rooms and kitchenettes, as well as ordering supplies.
- MAIL HANDLING: Sort and distribute incoming mail and manage outgoing mail and packages.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Basic knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
- Ability to adapt to changes
