Who We Are Looking For

Contractor Inside Sales Specialist Full Time

Are you an industry proven, inside sales professional with a passion for water supply solutions? We are seeking a Senior Level Contractor Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have previous, extensive, experience in contractor counter sales with the ability to supervise/lead our seasonal sales teams. They will have strong communication skills, work well in a team and thrive under pressure when working in a busy environment. They will have a strong knowledge of water industry products. Good computer and data entry skills are required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Delta’s key contractors who visit our location, while understanding their product supply needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with our inside sales teams to provide contractors with exceptional customer service, product knowledge, and technical support.
  • Collaborate with our logistics and warehouse teams to get contractors their orders accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Drive revenue growth through new business development and strategic partnerships with key vendors.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to effectively position our products and services in the marketplace.
  • Assist the purchasing team with the creation of orders to key vendors.
  • Supervise, train and mentor our seasonal front counter sales staff.
  • Provide assistance to customers on a wide variety of water-related products via phone, email and walk-in.
  • Assist in the opening/closing procedures of the premises at the start and end of each day.
  • Assist the team with merchandising strategies/layout in our showroom.
  • Assist the management, segment sales staff and other personnel where required to fulfill the day-to-day functions of Delta’s operations.
  • Present a professional and courteous demeanor to all customers and staff.

What You Offer

  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven inside sales, counter experience, preferably in the agriculture or water supply industry.
  • Experience in irrigation components, civil water parts, plumbing wholesale, septic wholesale, or other water related industry is an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing attitude
  • Experience in motivating and leading a small inside sales team
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented with a drive to succeed.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 is an asset but not required

Compensation

Salary $65,000 - $75,000
