Full Time / Part Time Cashier

West Coast Gardens is growing and looking to build their team. Their gorgeous destination garden centre is seeking a full-time Cashier with a strong customer focus. West Coast Floral is known for their family values, innovative thinking and exceptional industry standards. In addition to their dynamic team, they offer a flexible work schedule for students and parents looking for a day-time shift that is suitable for your family’s busy schedule. Situated on 24 acres with over 3 million plants grown with a gorgeous destination garden centre specializing in ethically homegrown plants for your home and garden. West Coast grows one of the largest succulent selections in Canada.

Responsibilities

·        Process transactions accurately and efficiently

·        Opening and closing procedures are conducted accurately and efficiently

·        Provide excellent customer service and knowledge on all nursery stock

·        Keep the retail store stocked with plants and products

·        Ensure plants are healthy and well cared for

·        Ensure staff are abiding by Health and Safety regulations

·        Maintain a clean and tidy work area

Qualifications

·        Minimum 1 year cash experience

·        A passion for plants and shrubs

·        Customer service experience

·        Ability to stand for long periods of time

·        Able to lift, up to 30lbs

·        Team player that is energized working with a team and autonomously

·        Must have own transportation, not close to a bus route.
