Resort Night Patrol and Evening Park Collector (Flex Role - housing available)

We are presently looking for our next great team member as a Resort Night Patrol and Evening Park Collector to join our Accommodations and Parks team.
This is a flex position for 5 shifts per week: 3 shifts as a Evening Park Collector and 2 shifts as a Night Patrol. We are looking for a candidate that works well independently, has great communication skills and enjoys working during the evening and overnight. Night Patrol Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
* Patrolling all buildings and cabins (which includes walking around buildings and checking/securing windows and doors).
* Ensuring there is no behavior that would put guests at risk.
* Reminding guests about and enforcing all MPR and BC parks rules including quiet time
* Closing all required areas at the predetermined times.
* Checking on the ski hill, which includes checking all doors and windows and walking around all buildings.
* Checking the Maintenance yard, doors, windows on vehicles as well as buildings.
* Checking staff housing to ensure rules are being adhered to.
* Providing a detailed report to your manager on a nightly basis.
* Proper maintenance of vehicle, and reporting any problems that may occur.
* Filling out incident reports for any incidents that take place.
* Janitor responsibilities as needed.
Evening Park Collector Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
* Ensure elevated levels of customer service; provide campers with information on park activities (hiking, fishing, canoeing).
* Collect and process parks fees, firewood sales and camper registration.
* Respond to campers' inquiries and provide assistance when required.
* Liaise with BC Parks information services to inform them of campground occupancy and vacancy.
* Provide site security and enforcement of Park policies; report incidents and occurrences efficiently to lead hand, supervisor, or manager.
* Patrol the Resort, Campsites and Day Use Areas of E.C. Manning Park.
* Record and report traffic counter results and park stats.
* Complete end of shift duties; balancing deposit, completion of logbooks, submitting deposit for safekeeping.
* Perform equipment inspection and maintenance.
* Represent BC Parks and Manning Park Resort in a professional manner.
* Assist the operation department with other tasks as required which may include but is not limited to cleaning and maintaining parks facilities such as pit toilets, garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits, communal areas, wash houses, and shower stalls.
* Other tasks as required within MPR.
Job Requirements:
* Minimum Class 5 driver's license is a must.
* Clean criminal record check
* Fluent in English. A second language is considered an asset.
* Excellent communication skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Effective time management and organizational skills.
* Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Ability to lift up to 50lb.
* Previous experience in customer service and handling money is an asset.
* Basic First Aid Certification (8hrs) or willingness to obtain one. Note that MPR will be offering a First Aid Course at no cost as well.
This is a permanent position with a start date on May 25.
